A RARE SILVER TORAH SHIELD. France (probably Strasbourg), c. 1850. Cartouche form. Embossed and chased with lions, flowers, wrapped baroque columns flanking a window for portion plaques. Matted in the unchased areas and engraved with contemporary script initials J K and J D. 11” tall.
