A RARE AND IMPORTANT SPICE TOWER BY J. RIMONIM (JOHANN JACOB RUNECKE). FURTH, c. 1750. On a round lobed base chased with rocaille. Modeled and tooled as a tower with a central spire and gallery with four pennants. The main section with a swirling orb above a hinged door. An almost identical example by the same maker is in the Stieglitz Collection at The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Acc. No. B86.0081; 124/532. 12” tall.
