59. A PAIR OF GOLD TORAH FINIALS. Morocco or North Africa, c. 1930. Tubular staves. Upper cylindrical portions fitted with bells and chains. Topped with a Magen David. Inscribed with a Hebrew dedication in memory of Rabbi Danon (1874 – 1930) who was born in Morocco but served as Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem from 1915 – 1921. One Magen David is damaged and dissociated from the body. 8.2” tall. 255 grams (8.2 troy ounces) of 14K gold.
