254. A LARGE STERLING SILVER AND GOLD MEZUZAH BY ILYA SCHOR. New York, 1960. One border is cut out with a Bar Mitzvah boy with tefillin. The other border is a young man with an open book. The main decoration is on the door with a Hasidic figure lifting hagbah with an open torah scroll. The door opens to reveal a painted klaf of an older religious man learning. The inside of the door is decorated with a bird perched on a flower pot and I. Schor in Hebrew and English. The verso engraved: “TO BILLY ON HIS BAR MITZVAH CHESHVAN 15, NOV. 5, 1960.”.
