A MASSIVE SILVER TORAH CROWN AND MATCHING BREASTPLATE.Milan, Italy, 1926. Monumental in size. Possibly Ferruccio Saracchi. The lower body is chased with aTemple style menorah, the hands of Cohen, a laver of the Levites and the Tablets on matted ground. The cartouches are linked and the upper body is chased and pierced with partly projecting acanthus leaves. Topped with a ball finial. Additionally decorated with colored stones. Inscribed in Hebrew “An eternal memory for the soul of my righteous mother Pfenniger Reizel the daughter of Chaim of blessed memory. She passed away on 26 Tammuz 5686 (= 1926) I will remember her for all eternity, Nachum Pfeniger” 13” tall.
