Poland, mid-19th century. Elaborately decorated with vines, two outwardly facing griffons, a crown tow outwardly facing lions, urns and flowers. Fitted with a rotating wheel to indicate usage, Engraved with the Decalogue in the center and THE LORD SPOKE ALL OF THESE TO M(OSES). Further engraved with the dedication: THIS BELONGS TO THE NAGID (RELIGIOUS LEADER/SPEAKER)RABBI YOSEF SON OF RABBI YITZCHAK OF BLESSED MEMORY FROM FLEISHTBERNI DAUGHTER OF RABBI SHMUEL. 11.5� x 9.3�.
