KLEINMAN, ZALMAN (1933- 1995)
Lot and his daughters. Acrylic on canvas. Framed 17.5 x 23.5 inches. Signed lower right. Born in Russia, Kleinman was a Crown Heights based Chabad painter. The Lubavitcher Rebbe encouraged him in his paintings. He often painted a few versions of his subjects as another version of this painting appears in the Chassidic Art Institute Catalogue, Zalman Kalman: Paintings (New York, 2001) p. 119.
