British Mandate Palestine, c. 1942. Triangular in form with a wall mounting. Keren Tel Chai was a fund founded after the 1929 riots. Its initial purpose was to train young Jews self defense. It took its name from the northern Israel settlement where Joseph Trumpeldor was killed in an early battle. 5.2” tall. Estimate $1,500 – 1,800.
