A VERY RARE HAGGADAH BY ARTHUR SYZK AND EDITED BY CECIL ROTH.
London, 1939. One of 125 copies printed on vellum. Inscribed with a dedication and signed by Szyk and Roth. Written in Hebrew with English translation. There are 14 full-page and numerous smaller illustrations and decorations in color reproducing paintings by Szyk. 10.9” x 9.3”. With the original gilt-pictorial blue morocco with monochrome pictorial vellum doublures, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe after designs by Szyk. With the publisher’s 3/4 navy morocco folding case. A couple of very small, minor discolorations on the first couple of pages. Beaconsfield Press. Estimate $20,000 – 30,000
