Poland, c. 1800. On four claw feet. With a chased rectangular base. With two Cornithian pillars supporting a balcony. The upper back plate chased with two lions flanking a circular panel on which is inscribed the abbreviation for "TO LIGHT THE LIGHT OF HANUKKAH”. Fitted with two servant lamps that are second as sabbath candle holders. Marked with a “12” mark and a maker’s mark. A nearly identical one can be found in the Stieglitz collection of the Israel Museum. 9.9” tall and 9.3” wide. Estimate $30,000 – 50,000
