A RARE AND IMPORTANT MOTHER OF PEARL WARSAW JEWISH HOSPITAL PRESENTATION PLAQUE. Warsaw, c. 1920. Engraved in Polish: “IN HONOR OF THE LATE JAKOB EPSTEIN, THE PRESIDING CARETAKER IN THE SPECIFIC COUNCIL OF THE JEWISH HOSPITAL OF WARSAW”. The verso is written in Hebrew: “Made by my hand, Reb Chaim Eichel, Warsaw". The Jewish Hospital in Warsaw (Czyste) was a Jewish medical facility operating from 1902 to 1943. For many years it has been considered to be one of the best and most modern hospitals in Poland 1.8” x 1.6”.
