Isny (Germany), 1541 Printed with the German Emperor’s ‘approbation’: “With a bill called ‘privileges’ in Latin. Written and signed by His Majesty the Kaiser, that no one shall print this for a period of ten years from today, Wednesday, 22nd of Kislev, 5302.” Printed by Paul Fagius, the Protestant reformer and Hebraist. He studied theology and Hebrew in Heidelberg and Strasbourg Universities, and was ordained for priesthood. His printing press specialized in printing Hebrew works.108 leaves without the 2 additional leaves. 28 cm. Quality paper. Good-fair condition. Restored title page, not affecting text.
