A MONUMENTAL WARSAW SILVER MENORAH BY JAN POGORZELSKI. Warsaw, 1873. On a square base with highly chased floral decoration to the base. Baluster shaped midsection chased with grapes and vine motifs. Upper portion with eight outstretched arms in graciously flowing design. Topped by a winged griffon. Assayed by Josef Sosnkowski in 1873. Marked with maker’s name, assayer’s marks, 84, and a stag’s head. Restored to original condition. All marks match. Of exceptional quality and condition. 28” tall. 70 troy ounces.
