AN IMPORTANT PARCEL GILT SABBATH GOBLET BY HEIRONYMUS MITTNACHT. Augsburg, 1763 – 1765. On a stylized round base with baluster shaped stem and eight sided goblet portion engraved with Biblical commandment to remember and keep the Sabbath. Heironymus Mittnacht was the son of Johann Mittnacht. Crack to foot, repair to stem and indentation to a side where the mark appears on the upper rim of the bowl. 4.5” tall.
