Rabbi Lewis Browne was a noted rabbi, writer, lecturer and world traveler. Rabbi Browne was also the author of This Believing World (1926), The Graphic Bible (1928) with illustrations by Mark Rothko, See What I Mean? (1943) and The Wisdom of Israel (1945). Browne was considered one of the foremost authorities on the problems of comparative religion.
