9. A VERY RARE CHARITY CONTAINER COLLECTING FUNDS FOR THE JEWISH HOSPITAL OF ISTANBUL. Turkey, c. 1920. Painted tin with a picture of a nurse attending to a sick child in bed. The name of the hospital is printed in Ladino and French. The Or HaChaim Jewish Hospital in Istanbul was founded at the end of the 19th century and is still operating until this day however, no longer owned by the Jewish community. 5” tall.
