87. AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE JEWISH NATIONAL FUND COLLECTION BOX. Germany, c. 1920. Composed of blue dyed leather encasing a brass structure. The front is embossed and painted with the map of the upper portion of the Holy Land and Erez- Israel in Hebrew and English. The verso is decorated with the KKL insignia, a Jewish star with a rampant lion cartouche and Keren Kayemet LeYisroel written in Torah style Ashkenaz script. Marked on the base “KEREN KAYEMETH LEJISRAEL JERUSALEM ”, the number 1865 (probably a serial number) and “MADE IN GERMANY ”. Further marked on the top “JOHN MOSER, BERLIN W 8 D.R.G.” next to the coin slot. 4.6” x 3”.
