69. A RARE AND IMPORTANT SILVER SHMIROT KIDDUSH BEAKER. Poland, c. 1850. Engraved with floral designs. Inscribed in Hebrew on one side with an excerpt from the Sabbath morning kiddush and on the other side it is inscribed: “the cup of salvation/ from holy coins”. Marked 12 and 1863.Of exceptionally heavy gauge silver. 2.8” tall.
