GOLPAYEGAN, PERSIA. Nissan 14, 5628 (1868). On paper. Gulpaigan is located north of Isfahan, between Kashan and Khuriamadad. The border is decorated with watercolor infused flowers connected with lines. The outer frame is filled with inscriptions of signs of good wishes arranged according to the Hebrew alphabet. Amended once in 1881 and twice in 1895, all signed and witnessed. The groom was Rafael, son of Yaakov and the bride was Esther, daughter of Yitzchak. 16” x 25”.
