ROME, ITALY. Tevet 15, 5521 (1820). On vellum. The border is decorated with painted flowers and large red letter writing. Triangular form bottom that was used in Rome not only for decorative purposes but to also assist in rolling and unrolling of the ketubah. Stains, old mold, losses and restorations. The groom was Asher, son of Samuel Diniris and the bride was Reai Tama, daughter of Shlomo Yosef Serfati. 25” x 15”.
