420. A LARGE EXCEPTIONAL PEWTER SEDER DISH. Germany, 1768. Engraved with the Order of the Seder, a central Passover sacrifice, the Four Sons, pictures from the Chagadya liturgy, a lion (gibor ke-ari: be strong like a lion), a stag (ratz ke-tzvi: run like a deer) and a double headed eagle (kal ke-nesher: soar like an eagle). Also engraved “This is the Seder dish of Uri Shragi Fish, son of our rabbi, the Rabbi Yosef Segal of Blessed memory from Neyshtat and his wife, Yentel, daughter of Baruch Yatzu and Uri Wald. Today is the 18th day of Cheshvan 1768. 16.5” wide.
