312. Harry Glaubach (1925-2017) Wooden Lower East Side scene. Charlie Chaplin stands in a doorway on the left, Groucho Marx can be seen nearby below a sign for an Honest Lawyer 1 Floor Up. To the right is a box with a hard plastic "window": inside are signs for a Fish Store, the Daily Forward newspaper, Coca Cola, Root Beer, Bingo and the Three Stooges. Above the "window", signs for Mendel’s Pickle Store and Plotnick Candy Store. On the plastic window is painted "Hebrew Books & Taleisim ” in English and Hebrew letters. 22" wide x 15 1/2" high x 3" deep. Signed on the back as shown: "Harry Glaubach Orig – 1990".
