182. A SILVER BOAT SHAPED HANUKKAH LAMP. Poland, c. 1790. Formed as an elongated oval tray with latticework borders. Engraved and tooled with leaf borders. The base attaches to four claw supports. With the original detachable servant lamp. In her book Five Centuries of Hanukkah Lamps from The Jewish Museum, the author, Susan Braunstein illustrates a lamp of this form and references two others.
