AN EXTREMELY RARE SNAKE MOTIF HANUKKAH LAMP. Galicia/Poland, c. 1802. The backplate is composed of a realistic snake intertwined with leafy branches. Fronted by a pierced gallery fitted with eight removable flower shaped oil receptacles that are supported by four clawed feet. Marked 12.
