72. A LARGE AND MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF SILVER TEFILLIN CASES. Ukraine, c. 1810. Exceptionally large size. The bases with parcel gilding. The entire upper portion is covered with hand spun filigree in the same style as early Ukrainian Chanukah lamps known as the Baal Shem Tov style. Each one marked for specific usage: “For Hand” and “For Head”. 4.2” wide.
