A RARE AND IMPORTANT STERLING SILVER CUP BY ZELIG SEGAL. Israel, c. 1980. On outward tapering base. Upper portion comprised of two lower levels and main cup. Completely hand hammered. Zelig Segal was born in Jerusalem and raised in an observant home. He attended Jewish religious school and he was a student at the Bezalel Academy of Art. His works in collections at the Met, the Jewish Museum, the Israel Museum and many other prestigious institutions worldwide. Signed. 10.5” tall.
