A RARE AND IMPORTANT PAIR OF SILVER TORAH FINIALS. Amsterdam, 1884. ​A pair of Dutch parcel gilt silver Torah finials, Amsterdam, 1884. Three tiered hexagonal form, composed of panels sectioned by columns. The upper two tiers are set on bases chased with simulated brickwork and windows. Three pierced balconies with steeple and ball finials at the corners. Hung with bells suspended from scalloped borders. Topped by crown and ball and steeple finial. Sold: Sotheby’s New York, December 12, 2006, lot 97. Formerly property of the Jewish Community of Amsterdam. Size: 18.1″ tall.
