A rare and important silver torah shield. Galician, 18th century. Decorated with solomonic pillars. Scrolling designs and two lions. Central cartouche engraved with cohanic hands and dedication inscriptions: “yehuda son of rabbi yisroel katz and his wife mrs bayla, daughter of our teacher our rabbi, rabbi yosef segal. 8.7” tall x 6.8” wide.
