A LARGE SILVER SPICE TOWER. Poland, c. 1840. On a stylized square base which is engraved with acanthus leaf decoration. The stem consists of leaf and flower decorations. The main pomander shaped body cut and pierced in floral motif. A similar example is illustrated in the Stieglitz collection, page 116, item 81. 8.5″ tall. Sold J. Greenstein and Company, Inc., October 30, 2006, lot 98. Size: 8.8″ tall.
