68. A SILVER HANUKKAH LAMP BY JOHAN JACOB LOSCHHORN. Frankfurt, 18th century. The backplate is embossed with a crowned cartouche chased with a menorah and flanked by outwardly facing lions. The hinged cover is engraved with lozenge work. Marked with maker, city mark on backplate, inside the base and on the cover. The servant lamp is by Rudiger Herfurth, Frankfurt, 1770. Sold: Sotheby’s December 19, 2007 lot 35. 7.2” tall x 6.7” wide.
