Engraved in the central cartouche; “PRESENTED BY THE CONGREGATION DARECH AMUNO, GREEN STREET, NY TO MR. JOEL STAMPLER AS A MARK OF RESPECT JAN 5630.” On the verso, it is regifted to The Jamaica Jewish Center by Bnj. Stampler April 15, 1930. Congregation Darech Amuno was founded in 1838 and continues to function as the Greenwich Village Synagogue. The Jamaica Jewish Center ceased to exist. The building is now used by the Young Women’s Leadership School. 4” tall.
