12. AN IMPORTANT PASSOVER BANNER. Frankfurt-Au-Main, c. 1890. Designed by e. Mannheimer and printed by J. Kaufmann. Printed on black undyed cotton. Showing scenes from the Passover Seder including the four cups and four sons, the ten plagues, the Exodus, crossing the Red Sea, and several Heebrew printed inscriptions related to the Seder and the Passover holiday. A near identical banner was exhibited in the Jewish Museum in 1977’s exhibition: Fabric of Jewish Life. 48″ x 16.5″.
